Since our magazine is now available on various storefronts I thought I’d summarize the options for you, dear readers. Hopefully the info below will also be useful to other potential PDF publishers. Each entry is in the format: Site(Product Link) – Sale Price -> Our Revenue (after store’s commission)
- DriveThru – USD 3.50 -> 2.62 (if you click through the link on the left – if you go through the front page we only get 2.27)
- Paizo – USD 3.50 -> 2.62
- Arima – EUR 2.75 -> 2.06
- YourGamesNow - USD 3.50 -> 2.62
- Lulu – USD 3.50 -> 2.01
In other words from the first four we get 75%, from the last we get… about 57%. That’s because Lulu has a flat base commission for ebooks which works against low-priced products like ours. All the other sites take a standard percentage fee which is much more flexible.
